I believe a few longtime community members and writers on these topics, are in the UK.
@davidc and @anded both seem to be in the area. (Check the other posts in this category : ) Others I know of are not yet on this forum.
I’m interested in a UK chapter. How did you envisage it working?

Great! I expect we should first look into the possibility of an existing U.K. chapter (I looked, but couldn’t find one), and maybe form consensus, based on that, whether a U.K. or London chapter is what’s needed.
I’m at easy distance from London (Brighton), so potentially agnostic about remit.
I’m also interested in a London chapter, or at least semi-regular meetups.
I’ve also looked but am also unable to find a chapter in the UK.
Is there anything I can do to help you set this up?
I too would be interested in a London Chapter. I am currently teaching in a school not far from Kingston Upon Thames.
I would also be happy to work with someone to set this up!?

Hi - I’d be very interest as would others where I work. I work at UCL in London as a social scientist in a the engineering faculty - I’ve felt for a number of years our new UCL department (Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy - STEaPP) as having the informal tagline ‘engineering with humanity’. We have projects on privacy in IoT, international relations and cybersecurity, digital tech to address domestic violence, and I’m looking for an industrial partner for a PhD on developing new digital tech to support self-governing communities.

Hi, your research sounds really interesting. I’m notionally based in Civil Engineering, but doing a multi-disciplinary PhD, essentially looking at integrating consideration of future citizens (with a particular eye on the impacts from scientific and tech advances) into Foresight process for cities. It’d be good to know more about what you are doing. We were partners with UCL on a couple of projects on cities and infrastructure.
