Using two accounts from one IP

Today I weas testing out the interface for new users, and did the following:

  • Opened a new browser; created a new account. (not yet aware of “Anonymous Mode”!)
  • Confirmed that account by email
  • Went back to the first browser, found myself logged into that new account (!)

This seems like a bug – will try to replicate tomorrow.

Don’t know if it is a bug or intentional, to avoid spammers/trolls going with N accounts onto the forum from a single browser. The account is probably taken from a single session cookie (I didn’t check).
With Github for instance, this works the same way. You could try from 2 different browsers e.g. Firefox and Chrome… think that should work.
