New essay about the ways the Internet Research Agency impersonated African Americans to deepen divisions

I read the work of the Alliance for Securing Democracy, an initiative of the German Marshall Fund, and their social media analyst has just published an essay in the National Urban League’s The State of Black America, 2019. This is an important essay and well worth reading - here’s a link to it:

Race, Lies and Social Media: How : Russia Manipulated Race in America and Interfered in the 2016 Elections

I think this is an essential topic that doesn’t get a lot of attention on the forum. I hope others will read this essay and reflect on what it means about the role social media is playing in deepening polarization in the US.

I would like to add this article about racism in america and why it can be easily manipulated to deepen division in the US society like what the russian did in 2016 presidential election through social media.
