keep going I love this
This looks really cool !
Hi @aschrijver
Have we selected some design for prints?
Not yet @nivedita! We still have 2 participants who have not submitted their work.
Also I was hoping for a bit more contestants, but seems like we will be a select group of artists
Think all of the design so far would look very good in print. @patm has a design for posters that is quite cool and also an idea for mouse mats.
I have searched a bit for online apps and sites that allow t-shirt printing and… the web is literally teeming with them. Was thinking of creating a t-shirt for myself with Rise of Yang on the back and your artwork + URL in badge size on the front (location: the heart
). But didn’t find the time yet.
Also was intending to use Gears of the Heart in posters to hang at the university in my town Delft, Netherlands and to use it on the landing page for a CHT ideation space. But I put this on hold till there is more info on what the core team is doing and planning.
Do you mind to keep the contest open for a while longer?
Yes sure ! We should have as many ideas as possible
Social card for meetings, conferences, rides on public transport, parties ![]()
Name can be scribbled at bottom.
I just saw this poster and read about the artist’s use of the McDonald’s symbol. Interesting to learn that fair-use laws protect it. I would like to see us revive the design competition, though maybe we shouldn’t call it a competition. It could be an ongoing idea-generation project.
The forum community is quite a bit different from what it was in April, so maybe more members would participate.
Hello!
I really like the idea of doing visuals and artwork for the CHT. I have done this image/illustration a few months ago for a personal project. I don’t know if it fits correctly but I thought it was interesting to share!
In the next few weeks I can also try to think and try some other ideas if I manage to get some time ![]()
Beautiful image, @Pfarias! Certainly interesting to share, and we can use it in our awareness campaigns (maybe with an additional ‘YOU’ above the dot, and with the smartphiones having big tech logo’s on them).
I think - as @patm suggests - we’ll be more focussed on collecting community-created artwork. All the artwork will have a Creative Commons license with Attribution (free to use, but creator retains copyright and is mentioned by name in image metadata, in the gallery, and social media).
Your image could also be used on T-shirt designs, similar to "I'm here now" T-shirt project.
If you are willing we can upload the design docs and the image in our artwork repository on Github:
