Map design wanted: mapping local meetups

We have more than a dozen local meetups already: it would be great to include a map of these on the site, that one can use to find regional groups and click through to the appropriate thread or meetup page.

You could probably fork the Fairphone Community Map. See github.

Or even simpler: Install the Events and Locations plugins for Discourse.

Thank you @PaulaFairphone. The Fairphone Community Map is quite cool. I’ll add mention in our Eventful campaign. The problem with Events and Locations plugins is that they are only available to self-hosted forum instances, not paid plans.

PS. Since we are talking forum improvements, for FF community the Abbrev theme component may be nice, to markup common terms, like FOSS.
