I’m most worried that so much of the world that “consumes” technology knows so little about it.
Just read an article by Anil Dash today on LinkedIn that highlights a number of concerns.
#12 seems like a great argument for why movements like TWS and publications like Wired might be some of the most -if not THE most -important outlets available today.
Would hate to experience a “tech” crisis capable of creating as much (or more) devastation as our recent financial crisis did - which was largely due IMHO to ineffective oversight.
I’m not saying that tech necessarily requires gov’t oversight but think most would agree that some level of societal oversight is greatly needed - which may be way more effective anyway.
