How can we stay sane online, working from home, at this critical time?

65% of us do other work during videoconferences. Whereas focus is the key to staying sane online - especially at this critical time - says Shine Offline’s Laura Willis. So:

  • “Create hard edges” between on+offline time; set aside 25 minute “deep work” sessions without digital distractions, and take coffee breaks without your phone

  • Focus on “purposeful use of technology”; call someone instead of emailing or texting them

  • Don’t check work emails out of office hours; “excellence does not equal ‘always contactable’,” says Willis.
