I’m in Sydney. I don’t know of specific organisations that align to what the community here is trying to achieve.
I used to attend meetups on health and wellbeing tech. They’ve been coming and going over the years. COVID has likely made many of them redundant. Though I’m sure some of the data science, product and UX meetups have topics they cover that would align. The UX Psych community has some good stuff.
People are much more aware of the of the systemic issues now than they’ve ever been. It’s been a progressive reveal really (think snowden, cambridge analytica and now social dilemma) so there are likely many more conversations happening now that will lead to compounding effects.
We’ve just launched a new platform in early beta you might be interested in. It’s based on over a decade of learning, thinking, being and doing I’ve done around some of the systemic problems. Plus loads of empirically validated approaches from work we’ve done over the years.
