I am to believe (and do) that to maximize our time utilizing the various apps its best to optimize for by echo chamber/extreme thinking and conspiracies. Perhaps I’m being really naive, but I think there is a HUGE appetite for nuance. You see this already with the adoption rate of long-form podcast, YouTube Channel’s with Heterodox guests, Netflix’s ability to get John-Q Public to watch great content on a wide range of topics (some of which are relatively complicated and dynamic). Documentaries are watch all the time on Netflix. Why wouldn’t there be a huge lane for a platform that optimizes for nuance thinking. Perhaps preferences and labels the first two stories as Center Left and Center Right on the subject being inquired about?
