I lost my Internet virginity in 1987 working in a company in Rungis, France, that exchanged data with their US office. In the early 1990’s I joined Compuserve and met a person on a forum who was to become the first client in a 20+ year run of my fledgling web company. We handled their Internet communication, including first web sites and mailings. Over that long period that began with inline images and , we watched the attention economy built from the ground up.
Now the chickens have come home to roost.
