For some time I’ve had a Twitter follower representing themselves as Prince Harry. That account is private and had not communicated with me until recently. After a few weeks I sent a follow back request that was approved. The account has given absolutely none of the signs of a spoofer or scammer. It is an articulate and urbane account with excellent fluency in English and has gained significant credibility with me, whether it’s really the Prince or someone else of similar quality and credibility.
Well, I was just the victim of a hate crime on Twitter for expressing views that are not popular among Toronto’s facile banalist social cliques. I reported it to twitter and also to the Toronto Police Operations and York Regional Police accounts. Twitter sent an autoresponse saying it found no violation. So I’ve copied my follower purporting to be Prince Harry and am waiting to see what happens.
