Some time ago I bumped into some great articles on [ElementaryOS](https://elementary.io/) on the Fediverse. This OS looks like a great replacement for Windows or MacOS. Have a look yourself:

> **[The thoughtful, capable, and ethical replacement for Windows and macOS ⋅...](https://elementary.io/)**
>
> The thoughtful, capable, and ethical replacement for Windows and macOS

Then I found the [Fediverse account](https://mastodon.social/@cassidyjames) of co-founder and UX designer of Elementary, [Cassidy James Blaede](https://cassidyjames.com/), and saw he maintains this very nice resource of UX guidelines:

> **[Introduction](https://docs.elementary.io/hig/)**
>
> Create a beautifully consistent experience on the elementary OS desktop

Though targeted at Elementary OS you’ll find many practices to have broader applicability.

Thanks! I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately for a host of reasons. I’ll definitely check it out!
